It is no secret to anyone that knows me that I am chomping at the bit for remodeling repairs to begin in my home and that I am going for a coffee house theme in my kitchen. We have bought a "humble" fixer upper mobile home knowing that it would someday be gutted out and redone from the ground up into a beautiful custom home. I have been working on plans that will give me all the storage I need and the look I would be proud to show off that won't be outrageous.
I will definitely be happy to have more space but what I am most looking forward to is to transforming our rooms into personality explosions that really show our characters off. Obviously, my cafe kitchen would be my gem. I will be having a lovely breakfast / coffee nook and a big bar for us all to sit at to eat with cafe inspired art pieces hanging about. One thing that is definitely needed to complete the look is good lighting. I want something that screams cafe but is also homey and modern at the same time. I think I have found the perfect piece with quoizel pendant lighting. There are several lights that I just love, but the one that really caught my eye for what I want is the Quoizel NA1510BN shown below.
I like this one because it has an older elegance to it with a modern flare. I like that it fits the bill to be in a corner cafe nook but also matches well with the stainless steel that is slowly taking over throughout the house. We are loving stainless steel! Want to know something else? It won't hurt my wallet too much either. This light is being sold for $119. Since lighting is important (just like window treatments) to complete the look, I find this a great deal!
What do you think? Can you see this in a cafe inspired kitchen? What lighting would you go with?
